Hello, my name is Darrel "DAD JR" Dawson. My father, Robert "BOB" Dawson was a Negro Baseball League Hall of Fame inductee. He was also a founding member of several bowling leagues in Detroit, Michigan. Personally, I had participated in Detroit bowling for over 50 years.
I am the author of "Affairs of a Bowler's Heart" which is the first autobiography written by an African American concerning the Detroit Black Bowling Renaissance. Today, we welcome everyone to participate in the DETROIT BLACK BOWLERS HALL OF FAME as an inductee member or fan. This Hall of Fame was created to preserve the long time rich and luxurious history of the Detroit Black Bowling Renaissance which had begun in the 1950's.
We have a burning desire to pay our respects and give a tribute to the African American Athletes whom had founded and participated in the wonderful sport of TIN PINS in the Metropolitan Detroit area. Everyone is also welcome to sign up for a DETROIT BLACK BOWLERS HALL OF FAME patron membership or a sponsor.
